Earth Day 2021: Planting

My first time ever participating in Earth Day!

How exciting does it feel when you have an idea, you pitch it, start planning and boom it happens! That’s how I felt about joining my community in honoring #EarthDay with planting a tree that I’ll be able to watch grow over time. This past week (4/22) Thursday, Project First in partnership with the Town of Pageland planted a river birch tree at one of our local (Conbraco) community parks.

What an experience, even though as pictured we didn’t have to get our hands too dirty….we did assist in the final covering and watering of the new tree planted.
